So I just hit submit on a job application and I need all the good vibes and ju-ju y’all have heading this way! I’ve been working at a company for a hair over two years as a temporary employee and finally in this god forsaken economy a job opening of my caliber (ha ha) for the company I work for has finally appeared on the boards!

The position is in another department but if I could just get in I could care less where in the place I work because when the cards are on the table — it’s a great freakin’ place to work! Most people hate their jobs/companies/bosses/whatever but I’m that rare breed that loves what I do and who I work for. The place treats it’s employees like royalty and is damn good to it’s temp workers like me. I know at the end of the day no matter how stressed I am or frustrated with issues I still have a job that lots of people would kill for in this day and age so I thank God every. single. day.

If I don’t get it that really isn’t a huge deal, don’t get me wrong I’m hungry as hell for what’s being offered but I know that I’m great where I’m at too. But send on the good luck vibes dudes!

In other news, I finally got the letter from the Rodeo Parade Committee for our first meeting…and am STOKED! I volunteer as a grand-stand Marshall for our local Rodeo Parade and it’s a blast. I can hardly wait for the meeting…but they scheduled the damn thing on Valentine’s day…wft?

This weekend is going to be great, Saturday the new boyfriend and I have a BBQ to go to. And Sunday night we are going to see Heart in concert (the tickets were my xmas gift to the new boyfriend)!

C’mon everyone sing “You’d have me down on my knees Wouldn’t you, Barracuda?”

Ok….got that out of our system *chuckle* All in all things are going good…I have zero complaints about life right now in spite of the everyday problems Life is good!

I’m still sick and this post may very well be the result of the river o’ drugs running through my veins so bear with me. kthx

Anyway, yesterday I had set up a few job interviews with some places that seemed promising although a bit out of my league. The first place I arrived at surprised me with a massive timed accounting test right off the bat (oh goody)…a good majority of the test was about areas of accounting that I simply know nothing about. I’m specialized in what I do. To say I panicked is an understatement. I sat in the lobby staring down at a timed test losing my mind in the inside.

The urge to stand up and thank the nice receptionist for her time and leave was overwhelming. But I sat there and tried to muddle through it all the best I could. I’m sure my score was awful, and I warned my interviewer about that. Luckily for me he said that the test is only a minor part of the entire interview and he didn’t expect me to pass with flying colors if I only had experience in a particular area. *phew*

I had barely caught my breath when I arrived at the next interview when they did the same damn thing, the moment I arrive they slapped me with a test. WTF?!?! This one was only two parts and a little more up my alley but I still managed to fuck up half of it because I was so nervous. This time it got graded while I sat there. *VERY UNCOMFORTABLE* And the mistake I made was so damn stupid. Then I had to sit there with the CFO and talk about my wonderful attention to detail with my face burning.

Again lady luck was on my side because at the end of the whole she-bang the CFO said he really liked me and wanted me to advance to the next part of the hiring process which was to meet my possible Controller and Asst. Controller which hasn’t happened yet with any of the many interviewees. So despite my stupid mistake (and god it was stupid) the fact that I stuck it out seemed to work in my favor.

Now I just gotta sit back and hope my luck continues and one of these places calls me quickly. Our financial situation absolutely sucks right now (notice the paid posts popping up?) and so both The Hotness and I are hitting the job hunt super hard. He’s got a couple of great prospects and I really really hope that one or the other pans out. It’s been tough for him especially since I’m a lunatic about finances and I’m constantly freaking out. He prolly needs a break from me for 8 hours a day nowadays *chuckle*

So keep your fingers crossed for us both and send good job getting vibes our way

P.S. Maria (The Hotness’s daughter) got a notice from her college today that she made some sort of Honor Roll because of her fantastic GPA 3.9! YAY! They want to give her a scholarship which is fucking awesome because she’s got a tuition payment coming up *Grins* So there is some good news around here lol!
