I hope all you daddies are having a great day! We are taking it easy around the house today until the whole fam damily shows up later for a Father’s Day Fajita Fest (oh yeah)! A special bunch of hugs and kisses to my very own Daddy who is without question the best dad in the whole wide world! :)

P.S. The dumb fuck that started the Monument Fire can suck it. Hard. My father is currently in Pre-Evacuation with Mandatory Evacuation becoming a pretty sure thing by the end of the day. Thanks a lot to the asshole who didn’t understand that “no campfires” means…uh…yaknow…like…NO CAMPFIRES! Adding that asshat to my list of people who will be eating my fist if I ever come within reaching distance of them.

P.P.S. Can the Golf Channel get any louder in this house right now?!?!? The volume is so high on the US Open that I can’t hear myself think – as is apparent by the incoherent manner this post has been put together. Large Tuna is lucky it’s Father’s Day…I’m going nuts.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day! :)

Or at least get in fu**ing line. I. swear. to. god. Why can’t people fathom getting into a straight line sorted by when you got to the checkout counter? I went to JC Penny’s tonight with mom to do some last minute shopping and you’d think that the whole “line concept” had never been brought to anyone’s attention before. People were just walking up to the cashiers willy-nilly as they pleased and totally cutting off the few of us “line people” who were actually standing in line (!) next to the sign that said “Form Line Here and Wait for the Next Associate”. The lady in front of me might have taken that crap but I sure as hell didn’t when it was my turn. Asshats.

I’m trying not to Grinch up the place or anything but I think this year I’m going to just let Christmas sort of pass on by. I’ve gotten some cards done and picked up the kid’s and grandkid’s gifts but I don’t think I’ll be doing much more than that. The tree, lights, baking, festivals, sleigh rides and ho-ho-hos are just going to have to be left to someone else.

Our next door neighbor has his house lit up a la Griswold, which is nice, I figure I’ll just hope some of the light beaming from his house will light mine up a little. He even offered to hang my lights for me, which was a nice gesture but not gonna happen because A.) I don’t own outdoor lights. and B.) I honestly don’t feel like it.

It’s been a rough year and I just don’t feel even a little “in the spirit”. I hope next year I’ll be back to my maniac Martha Stewart-esq Christmas-y self. But for this year I think it’ll be a low key Xmas for me.
