Today in my net travels I stumbled across this little site called Do Nothing for 2 Minutes. It was a challenge to sit and watch the screen for 2 minutes without doing anything (I failed about 4 times before making it through). Give it a shot and let me know how ya do

I’ve written before about the things I’ve tried to help me help myself in this regard. In some cases I’ve gotten better but I know that there’s a long way to go. One of the things that I’ve found that has really made a difference is my daily email from The Universe. Each weekday morning I wake up to a note from The Universe sitting in my inbox, they are non-denominational and encourage positive thinking, remind me of the good in life and just generally make me smile. My weekday ritual is to wake up and before doing anything else I read my email from The Universe and try to commit to memory what lesson it’s trying to convey so I can reflect on it during the day. It’s late, I’m tired but had to throw in my 2 cents…sorry I’m not more eloquent.

The kit that I originally purchased from a “chain store” supplier came with disposable vapor cartridges but I’ve since found a local smoke shop that sells a refillable set up complete with custom nicotine levels and custom flavoring options. Where before I was spending $50-$70 a week on cigs I’m now only spending about $5 a week on my “e juice”.

It’s been wonderful so far and I haven’t had a single craving for a real cig this whole time. The one time I did smoke was just to see if I missed it and I didn’t. All the smelly-ness and coughing and hacking from smoking is gone. My hair/breath/clothes/truck no longer stinks and I’m not going outside all the time to smoke. My eyes don’t hurt and I’m feeling overall tons better! I may try and use this method to quit eventually by stepping down the levels of nicotine I use but for now I’m just happy with the positive change this has brought me.

I’ve been researching this dream trip of mine for quite a few years now, everytime I find a new website of something I want to see I have a special folder in my bookmarks call ‘The Sex and the City Trip’ that holds all the links. Last night while messing around online I found something that totally fits right into my trip itinerary which I didn’t even know existed. Walking Food Tours NYC, you actually pay someone to take you out into the city and they show you the best food spots the Big Apple has to offer!

I fell in love with this idea because well, I like love to eat and they have a Greenwich Village Food Tour that includes a stop for cupcakes at Magnolia Bakery made famous from Sex and the City! Can you say AWESOME!?!

Vacationing vicariously though a t.v. show may be a little nerdy but when the day finally comes that I’ll step off the plane and step into Manhattan I know it’s gonna be one helluva trip! I just did a little evaluation of all of the links I have saved and if I tried to do everything that has caught my eye my vacation there would have to be for 3 months *chuckle* A girl can dream though can’t she?

Now I’m not getting all touchy-feely and new age-y but it is nice to have an email sitting there each morning before work that gives me a little extra boost…give it a shot you may find you like it as much as me…and if not you can always unsubscribe

I want you to know, Sarah, that I’ve ordered up another year for you.

Think I’ll call it 2010.

I’m going to put most of the same people of 2009 in it, since you all think so much alike. But there’ll also be a few new, very cool cats coming to play – give them some time to grow up though.

And I’m going to have things start off pretty much exactly where they left off in 2009, for continuity’s sake. Flips folks out too much when I don’t.

In other news, I turned a whopping 23 years old on August 8th, it came and passed without much hullabaloo. I just realized I’m going to have to update my age on the sidebar now *chuckle* This whole place really needs a new look and the cobwebs swept out of the corners…I’m so embarrassed at the condition of AIS. Reckon I’ll add that to my never ending to-do list…
