Cash it On In

Monday, July 14th, 2008

My newest favorite song ever, this woman can sing:

Oh there’s something ’bout a man in black,
Makes me want to buy a cadillac,
Throw the top back,
And roll down to Jackson town,
I wanna be there on the stage with you,
You and I could be the next rage to,
Hear the crowd roar,
Make ‘em one more,
I’ll kick the footlights out,

I wanna love like Johnny and June,
Rings of fire burnin’ with you,
I wanna walk the line,
Walk the line,
‘Till the end of time,
I wanna love,
Love ya that much,
Cash it all in,
Give it all up,
When you’re gone,
I wanna go too,
Like Johnny and June,

I wanna hold you baby right or wrong,
Build a world around a country song,
Pray a sweet prayer,
Follow you there,
Down in history,

I wanna love like Johnny and June,
Rings of fire burnin’ with you,
I wanna walk the line,
Walk the line,
‘Till the end of time,
I wanna love,
Love ya that much,
Cash it all in,
Give it all up,
When you’re gone,
I wanna go too,
Like Johnny and June,

Like Johnny and June,
More than life itself,
No-one else,
This here is promise,
They don’t make love like that anymore,
Is that too much to be askin’ for,

I wanna love like Johnny and June,
Rings of fire burnin’ with you,
I wanna walk the line,
Walk the line,
‘Till the end of time,
I wanna love,
Love ya that much,
Cash it all in,
Give it all up,
When you’re gone,
I wanna go too,
Like Johnny and June,

Like Johnny and June,
And when we’re gone,
There’ll be no tears to cry,
Only memories of our lives,
They’ll remember, remember,
A love like that.

Am I Crazy? And Hook Up Our Troops!

Thursday, May 29th, 2008

So in a moment of insanity and after much hullabaloo by the store manager who loves me I agreed to take on a second job at Pappa John’s! I know, I know, I literally don’t have time to wipe my ass anymore so I shouldn’t really be flouncing into another paycheck but I figure what the heck?

The Hotness’s daughter works there and they love her, and they love me so it’s gonna be good. Management has agreed to work with my hectic schedule and even though I’m making only half of what my “real job” pays it’ll be nice to have a few extra dollars every couple weeks.

Mind you, I’ve had to totally re-think my schedule and it’s actually a good thing because now I can shift around projects and family to make all of this a little easier on me. Now, I have yet to fit school into this little clusterfuck I call a life so we’ll see how that turns out, but I think I can swing all of this shit…

I hope.

Anywhoot, enough about my retarded spur of the moment decisions…earn yourself some karma points and free shit by visiting TrueLemon and requesting a free sample of their crystallized lemon substitute. Why you ask? Well for every person that requests a free sample of their goods they send 10 packets of TrueLemon to the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan!

Support Our Troops with Free TrueLemon!

Pretty nice of them eh? I know for a fact those folks drink a LOT of water over there and eventually they’ve got to be sick to death of it’s taste. So go get it here and then pat yourself on the back for brining some lemony goodness to our brave men and women :)

Herman’s Hermits!

Thursday, May 15th, 2008

Hey hey hey! So before last night I had never been to an actual concert. I know, I’m a dork. BUT I picked a pretty interesting concert-cherry popper! The Grassroots and Herman’s Hermits were coming to Tucson so I figured what the heck?

Pete Noon

Good concert, Pete Noon is the only Hermit left apparently but they all put on a pretty good show. His new band members are MUCH hotter than the last ones I must say ;)

The New Hermit

The crowd that turned out for the show was….well…a shit ton of old people. I felt like I was in some sort of a nursing home, then again what should I expect from a band that’s been around since dirt was new?

Flowers are the Laughter of the Earth

Wednesday, September 26th, 2007

A question that Meg Ryan absentmindedly asked in the classic internet romance movie You’ve Got Mail reveals my favorite flower of all time — the daisy.

“Don’t you think daisies are the friendliest flower?”

I found that I had to agree with her. When I think of it I’ve never been much of a rose girl (they’re so serious) and all the other flowers are nice but just really don’t do it for me. There’s something about the daisy makes me want to grin. They’ve got an almost wobbly nature to them when you take them out of the jar and they look so darn happy. I’ve found I can relate to the whole wobbly-happy thing…which is probably why I like them so much :)

I found out yesterday my favorite flower is teaming up with my favorite online flowers delivery service and is really going all out by joining in the fight against breast cancer!

ProFlowers will donate 10% of the purchase price of our Pink Ribbon Gerbera Daisies bouquet to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Each bouquet is delivered with helpful information from the Komen Foundation about breast health.

How awesome is that?? I now know just what I’ll be sending out for all the flower worthy occasions that are coming up this year :) Go check it out! And hey isn’t it time to send your wife/mother/sister a bouquet of the friendliest cancer-fighting flowers around? ;)
