Being away from the blog world for awhile means I’ve kinda missed out on a few things here and there. It struck me this morning as I sat down to review my work from last night that I didn’t recall hearing a peep about Blogathon ’08 over the last few months. I knew it should have already happened at some point this summer but I usually receive emails from certain bloggers looking for sponsorship and I hadn’t heard from any of them.

I went to check the Blogathon website and was kinda bummed to find that it didn’t happen this year. Granted, putting on the ‘thon is a HUGE production and tough work to boot so I understand their wanting to take a year off to rest a bit. I really do hope though that it comes back in 2009 because it’s one helluva great idea and I totally need my fix *chuckle* I <3 my Blogathon!

OH. MY. GOD. Y’ALL! Excellent job everyone, absolutely excellent job! I’m totally floored at that number guys! YAY! Thank you to each and everyone who donated or posted links to Yandy in the name of fighting cancer…y’all ROCK! This really wouldn’t have been done without each of you. Trust me. Give yourself a pat on the back/ass/head/whatever, you deserve it!

My deciding to participate in this years ‘thon was done on a whim (seriously) and I didn’t think I’d even get to $100 so my expectations for this event were insanely surpassed on every level you can imagine. I thank you all for your appreciation but I must say that the real thanks goes to the folks who sponsored and supported me. All I did was sit on my ass for 24 hours (‘cept for when I was happy dancin’ of course).

I think I’ve finally made it through all the emails from the last couple days, if you were waiting for an email back and haven’t got one please re-send…I may have ass-idently hit the delete button in my sleepy haze.

People have been asking when they make the actual donation; you’ll be receiving an email within the next couple days with a link to make your donation. If you don’t get that email or want to go ahead and donate right now then please click here. That link will take you directly to the American Cancer Society secure online donation page.

The prize drawing for all the goods listed here will be done tomorrow night so make sure to swing on by for that

If anyone is wondering “Where is Bug’s story?” then lemme fill ya in: ‘thon rules said that no one could prepare their posts ahead of time so I couldn’t write up my story the way I wanted it to be. With only 30 minutes to write each post I felt that it wouldn’t be right to summarize my experiences in a random and off the cuff sort of way. I want to put everything down in a readable and orderly fashion not just for y’all but for my own healing purposes as well. So, Bug’s Cancer Story will be coming to ya sometime this week complete with ass-tons of resources!

Ok I’m going to bed people….much love!
