Meet the Cat

Loki

Loki

This is my cat, she’s just like any other cat I suppose except she’s mine. Loki was rescued from under my fathers trailer years ago around Thanksgiving. She was a gift to me….and now drives me crazy on a daily basis. Quite the gift.

But I love her and will keep her around until she scampers off over the rainbow bridge someday. Smaller than the usual cat-size and full of energy she’s the constant companion that I can’t live without.

Love me? Love my cat.

An Indian Summer – Explained

indian summer (n.) An unseasonably warm period near the middle of autumn, usually following a substantial period of cool weather.

Sounds like another random title because all the good ones were already taken? Yeah, I know. But it does have meaning. I like to think of this blog as the “unseasonably warm period” in my life. If things get to “cold” out there for me I know I can always show up here and create warmth for myself and others through my writing and a little humor.

I get asked a lot if I’m actually of Native heritage due to the blog title. The answer is “yup”, I’m a lovely mix of French and Blackfoot Native American. My grandmother is wicked heavy into genealogy and she’s also come up with a dash of Dutch, a bit of Irish and just enough Jew to make me stingy with my money ;)
