No Blogathon?

Being away from the blog world for awhile means I’ve kinda missed out on a few things here and there. It struck me this morning as I sat down to review my work from last night that I didn’t recall hearing a peep about Blogathon ’08 over the last few months. I knew it should have already happened at some point this summer but I usually receive emails from certain bloggers looking for sponsorship and I hadn’t heard from any of them.

I went to check the Blogathon website and was kinda bummed to find that it didn’t happen this year. :( Granted, putting on the ‘thon is a HUGE production and tough work to boot so I understand their wanting to take a year off to rest a bit. I really do hope though that it comes back in 2009 because it’s one helluva great idea and I totally need my fix *chuckle* I <3 my Blogathon!

    Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a comment. I do return the courtesy. And then find a blog I have “love at first sight” with. This happened with your blog and I am putting it in “My favorite blogs” right now.

    I have no Indian genealogy roots roots and in my country we don’t talk about “Indian Summer”. But I am born in that period of the year and actually enjoy this moment very much and the (Swiss) Indian Summer is definitely my favorite time of the year.

    To be honest, I was kinda happy that it was cancelled this year as I wasn’t going to be able to do it. See, pregnancy and staying up for 24 hours just doesn’t mix, so… I was going to have to skip it even if it had happened.

    I do hope to do it next year! Though, who knows, I’ll have an 8 month old son by then.. Heh.
