Cash it On In

Monday, July 14th, 2008

My newest favorite song ever, this woman can sing:

Oh there’s something ’bout a man in black,
Makes me want to buy a cadillac,
Throw the top back,
And roll down to Jackson town,
I wanna be there on the stage with you,
You and I could be the next rage to,
Hear the crowd roar,
Make ‘em one more,
I’ll kick the footlights out,

I wanna love like Johnny and June,
Rings of fire burnin’ with you,
I wanna walk the line,
Walk the line,
‘Till the end of time,
I wanna love,
Love ya that much,
Cash it all in,
Give it all up,
When you’re gone,
I wanna go too,
Like Johnny and June,

I wanna hold you baby right or wrong,
Build a world around a country song,
Pray a sweet prayer,
Follow you there,
Down in history,

I wanna love like Johnny and June,
Rings of fire burnin’ with you,
I wanna walk the line,
Walk the line,
‘Till the end of time,
I wanna love,
Love ya that much,
Cash it all in,
Give it all up,
When you’re gone,
I wanna go too,
Like Johnny and June,

Like Johnny and June,
More than life itself,
No-one else,
This here is promise,
They don’t make love like that anymore,
Is that too much to be askin’ for,

I wanna love like Johnny and June,
Rings of fire burnin’ with you,
I wanna walk the line,
Walk the line,
‘Till the end of time,
I wanna love,
Love ya that much,
Cash it all in,
Give it all up,
When you’re gone,
I wanna go too,
Like Johnny and June,

Like Johnny and June,
And when we’re gone,
There’ll be no tears to cry,
Only memories of our lives,
They’ll remember, remember,
A love like that.

Back to Bloggin’

Sunday, July 13th, 2008

Ok folks so I’ve been outta the loop on pretty much everything here lately. Blogging has moved off into the great unknown for me and I haven’t kept up with any of it. I need to get back into the swing of things yaknow. I had a few spare hours a couple weeks ago waiting for someone to come run an errand with me so I started work on a new site for myself.

I have another blog (FireSafeHouse.com) that I actually do earn some income from. It’s nothing special, it was kinda started as a joke, and I’m actually shocked I have been earning a little bit of cash with it. I call it my “pocket change blog”. I sat down and thought about it and realized that if that one blog worked for I should be able to replicate another one right?

Now with the other previously established blog I have I make anywhere from $40-60 a month with it, put no work into it other than the initial investment of time to set it up. I don’t update, change the layout or anything. The only cost is the domain name and the money it makes from text link ads pays for all of my hosting for all of my sites and all of my sites domain name registrations. Pretty good deal if you ask me. I’m sure if I was to actually put some continual work into it I could make more but I’m satisfied with the results I’m seeing for now.

So after a few hours of messing around with a domain I’d bought ages ago I got my latest little pocket change venture on its feet. The Arizona Blog is basically just a collection of articles on various aspects of Arizona, ranges from travel to real estate. If you have a spare moment check it out, there are actually some really good articles on there ;)

I’ll be using it as a testing ground for Adsense and Text Link Ads and if I can find something out about either that is of any use I’ll gladly pass it along here. But that’s what my latest “fun” is…hope everyone is doing well :)
