“B” is for Blogroll

I have quite a few blogs on my blog roll, not quite as many as some I’ve seen, but I have a fair amount. Recently someone scoffed (yes they really scoffed) at me when I told them I read every single blog on my roll every day. But I really do, it’s a morning ritual for me now: wake up, go pee, stumble to my desk with a cuppa joe and then catch up on what everyone had to say while I was off in the Land of Nod.

Do you actually read every blog on your roll every day?

    Yep, I sure do.

    My blogroll used to be a lot bigger, but I decided to keep it more to the blogs that I read every day and deleted the ones I didn’t.

    I read every blog on my blogroll once, maybe twice a day. I try to do it when I’m wasting time on the computer before I go to work. I sometimes go back through again at night when I get home.

    I have to admit, not every single one. But I give it a good shot daily! It’s hard to say I don’t play favorites…cuz probably in some respects I do. And then some don’t post everyday. I try to read the ones less frequented at least once a week. But I’d say there are about 50 I check in with daily. Although I may not always comment. Sometimes I just don’t have an interest in the topic at hand. Or just don’t have anything to add.

    Like you, it is my morning routine and sometimes when I can’t sleep, evening routine to check in on the many, many, many blogs on my blogroll. ;-)

    I personally try not to listen to scoffers, a lot of times they would be scoffing about something else, if not my overly long blogroll. So, to each their own, live and let live, I say. They are welcome to handle their blogroll any way they like, and I do the same. That’s what I love about blogging. There are not “real rules” that I need acknowledge, unless I want to. ;-)

    I totally read all the blogs on my blogroll! I make sure that I don’t add it to my blogroll unless I read every post, and I don’t even have all of those blogs on my blogroll. I don’t always visit the site every day, but I get every post in my feedreader, and I often visit the sites on my blogroll once I’ve started reading a post. It seems silly to me to have a bunch of blogs on your blogroll that you don’t actually visit . . .

    I do read all the blog on my “Blogs I Read” list (I’m not cool enough to have a blogroll). Granted there’s only about eight and a couple haven’t even updated in a while, so it’s pretty easy to go through mine on Bloglines once a day or so.

    that would be impossible unless I quit my job and gave up sleeping. lol There’s probably 175-200 blogs on it!

    Actually, I mouse over the blog links on the blogroll and some actually give an update date. Those that don’t I soon learn how often they get updated.

    I actually go through my blogroll daily. Although I’m working on transitioning to a feed reader. I try to comment on all the posts that interest me – unless I don’t have anything decent to say in my comment.

    Just like you I’m here every morning with a cup of coffee and my morning blog reads. It’s the best, isn’t it?

    I read my ‘Zonie blogroll daily. My “addictions” blog roll is one I hit every blog on at least twice a week or more. I can’t say I read everyone’s blogs every day. I’m an ass like that. But I do try!

    Well I dont read every blog on my blogroll daily but I do read them a few times a week. Some of my friends seem to have gone awol so there is nothing new to read OR I have deleted the crap that I dont want to read. I also do not comment often. Depends on my mood.

    My blogroll is large, long, and cumbersome. There are actually some days I catch up on all my feeds, but usually I am a little bit behind.

    Ok, I just checked. Currently my blogroll is at 157, and always growing.

    I dont link to everyone, but I do link to most of the people who link to me. I also always comment on everyone’s blog who comments on mine. Do unto other bloggers as you’d have done unto your own blog…or something like that.

    As for reading everyone every day it’s next to impossible. Unless of course I had no life. I have a little one though and even a little is a little too much.:)
