Yeah It’s Not A Tree
While I was in FFA during high school I was on the forestry team. It was a great experience and I learned a lot about…well forestry. Anyway, the other day I was sitting out in the parking lot of a local pizza joint waiting for it to open so I could pick up a few pies. As I’m sitting there I see this tree across the way. I notice the top of it wasn’t looking too good…since I had nothing better to do I sat there and tried to dredge up the knowledge I acquired from our practices to try and figure out what the heck is wrong with it or is that what the particular species does. Yeah, I’m a loser but what else was I gonna do? I wasn’t successful, chalked it up to too many beers between then and now and put it into the back of my mind.
Couple days later I see this picture in the local paper. Turns out it’s not a tree at all it’s a damn cell phone tower! No fucking wonder I couldn’t figure out what was wrong with it. Apparently this is the new “thing” in our state…Phoenix has one’s that look like palm trees from what I’ve been told by some friends. *shakes head* Lesson learned? Things aren’’t always…oh hell you know the rest.
